Susquehanna River Fishing Report

(The most accurate Susquehanna River report anywhere! In print or on the Web.)

(This report deals with the Susquehanna River, from the Conowingo Hydroelectric Dam down river)

We are located on the shore of The Susquehanna River, only a stone through away. We have lived here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for over 20 years. We've survived floods, hurricanes and tornadoes. We have rescued some lucky anglers over the years and retrieved the bodies of some that were not as fortunate. The fish we write about are brought from the river, right in front of our eyes. The river is a way of life and unlike a lot of reports, this report is made of facts, not fantasy.
After all, how accurate can a Susquehanna River report be if the creator isn't even here over 90% of the time?

The Susquehanna River has always been one of the best fishing areas in Maryland. Every year people come from all over to test their angling skills, and at the same time take in some of the most beautiful scenery on earth.
One thing that makes the Susquehanna River such a special fishing place is the large variety of fish in the river.
Another is that the Susquehanna River holds, and has held, so many State Records.
   Chain Pickerel 6 lb., 8oz
   Hickory Shad 4 lb.
   Rock Bass 1 lb.
   Small Mouth Bass 6 lb.

We are going to give you "computer fishermen" an updated account of the fishing action on the river, and maybe you will get interested enough to come by check us out and wet a line!

Thursday 03-29-07

This morning the dam still had 3 floodgates on.
The word is that J.B.J. and his friends are starting to catch a few Hickory Shad late in the afternoon around the mouth of Deer Creek.

Please take moment and say a prayer of thanks for the men and women of The United States Armed Forces, serving now and in the past. Their bravery and selflessness is why we are able to live in the most free and privileged country in the world. Don't forget to also say a prayer for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, the ones who gave their lives so we could be free.
